OneVoice™

“Communication is the real work of leadership.”
Nitin Nohria, author and professor, Harvard Business School
Consider all the structures built to deal with business communications. Public Relations to talk with the outside world, Investor Relations to talk with investors, Executive Communications for leaders, Corporate Communications to create annual reports and websites, Human Resources to keep employees informed, and Marketing to create and execute a strategy.
Successful leaders know that to effectively drive their business goals and strategy, they must elevate the importance of communication. OneVoice insures that our customer’s business objectives and goals are effectively communicated throughout their enterprise.
The Concept of OneVoice
At SNP, we apply a concept we call OneVoice to everything we do. From sales teams presenting to customers, to executing content, training and media for our customers, OneVoice brings a consistency and clarity to leadership, sales, and company-wide messages.
OneVoice starts with a belief in a comprehensive approach to communications. This means a dedication to successful outcomes over all other considerations.
Team Presentations
As an example, the application of OneVoice in team presentations begins with the selection of a team member to lead the conversation. The selection is based on their relationship with the customer or content only rather than position. This leader launches the conversation and manages the team’s engagement with the customer. Acting as the “host”, the OneVoice is the primary voice of the team. The team depends on the OneVoice to give them opportunities to express their opinions and share their expertise. It’s not about power but outcomes.
Executive Leadership
When applying OneVoice to leadership, the result is the same. OneVoice insures that the strategy and message is focused toward the right audience. It’s a single philosophic approach which builds on strategic content, dialogue and presentation skill training along with the right media to successfully reach the right audience.
Communication Strategy
Company-wide, the concept of OneVoice demands that every employee and manager stay on message. This means that they understand the company’s strategic goals and objectives, their department or divisional messages and their personal professional messages. Once done, they incorporate appropriate presentation, dialogue and media training to be sure they communicate their multi-level messages effectively. Then the selection of the appropriate media vehicles determines how and when they reach their disparate audiences.
The Future is Now
Corporation communication will continue to change. Driven by new technologies, new employees, and the diverse market demands of multi-national business, companies will need to breakdown archaic structures to adopt communication processes and tools based on the concept of open, honest and candid conversations between companies, their leaders, and their stakeholders.
OneVoice is dedicated to that outcome. One company, one vision, OneVoice.
